New York Philharmonic Performs in North Korea
An invasion by means of culture, and even by invitation of their government. This is the beginning of the end.
The Smithy
There's a smithy on the corner wherein is The Forge. This is all the tools and trinkets and gadgets and other random pieces of metal lying around in the shop.
Digg - Why One School Banned LEGOs
Wow. If only teachers thought like this during the regular school day. (They actually only banned the Legos temporarily, then phased them back in.) It’s pretty amazing what Legos teach you, and how much adult stuff kids can stomach. If only they had taught the kids about how communism is idealism and how it only works in small groups with deities (or teachers, in this case) as the rulers. Amazing story though, I’m sure I’ll return to it in my future Psychology studies.
MacBook Air
Thinner than an inch. Three pounds. Multi-touch. Mercury-, arsenic-, PVC- and lead-free. Remote disc. Solid state HD. Wow. Expensive. Only 1.8 GHz. Darn.
To Promote Unity in Diversity, Global Understanding
Did you know the year 2008 is the International Year of Planet Earth, Languages, the Potato, and Sanitation? Too, we are living in these glorious decades:
- Second International Decade for the Eradication of Colonialism (2000-2010)
- International Decade for a Culture of Peace and Non-violence for the Children of the World (2001-2010)
- Decade to Roll Back Malaria in Developing Countries, Particularly in Africa (2001-2010)
- United Nations Literacy Decade (2003-2012)
- United Nations Decade on Education for Sustainable Development (2005-2014)
- International Decade for Action: Water for Life (2005-2015)
- Second International Decade of the World’s Indigenous People(2005-2015)
It’s also the Year and Decade of Finding Affordable Solutions to Every Last One of the World Community’s Struggles. Have a good year fighting evil with the UN… and eating potatoes, drinking perfectly clean sewer water, and pooping roses while speaking languages—all on planet earth (because there are so many options and it’s the best one).

There are those who work all day. Those who dream all day. And those who spend an hour dreaming before setting to work to fulfill those dreams. Go into the third category because there’s virtually no competition.

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

A10 Gun Test
This is loud. If they fire it for too long the barrels melt.
